JAY KEW. comments that, checking brakes has been routine for him since he bought a truck iron. It used to take me 15 minutes to check brakes. Now it takes less than 10 minutes. It helps out a lot . I had another wrench that used to slip off all the time, but this one doesn't seem to do that.
TIM MENNIE. comments that, our yards are very messy at the best of times. But I haven't had to crawl around in the dirt or mud since I started using the truck iron. It works good!
BRIAN TESSMER. I never thought it would happen
to me. I picked up a trailer that needed a brake job. I took it to the
shop and had the work done, I asked the mechanics if everything was done
and if they had set all the brakes. They assured me that they had, so I
trusted them and set out on my trip to Ontario. The scale at Branford was
open so I pulled in. They wanted to do a complete check. When they finished
the trailer the guy came over and said that my brakes were out of adjustment.
I told them that it couldn't be as a brake job had just been done. He asked
if I had checked them after the brake job was done and I said no.
I learned the hard way that it is my responsibility to check them no matter
what,on a daily basis. It cost me $500.00 by the time I got out of the
scale. I no longer trust anybody, but myself and with the truckiron
it makes it easy to keep that routine. The tool is worth every cent I payed
for it . I wish I had used it that day, it could have saved me the $500.00
and it would only have taken a few minutes with this tool. I was talking
with another driver and he said he never bothers checking and I told him
some day you will wish you had!
